Moon Over Buffalo, was designed as a "Love Letter to Theater". The director's approach to this production was to exemplify the theatricality of the play itself and world of a "play with in a play". For an example, when the story transitioned into the play Private Lives, all of the legs and borders would be flown out exposing the backstage world of theater.
